Fairandfunky Sustainable Schools Conference 2017

Screen Shot 2017-10-15 at 20.30.36

We joined schools from across Kirklees and Calderdale for fairandfunky, a fun-filled day learning about sustainability issues.

Fair and Funky is all about being sustainable, looking after the resources we have, recycling where possible and being aware of Fair Trade. The children were introduced to a range of activities based around these principles.

Children took part in workshops from Pockets Theatre, LoveBread, Grow to school and fairandfunky. We were also joined by Tracy Brabin MP for a special Q&A session, and certificate presentation.

See their website for more pictures and highlights from the day

The Big Walk

Children in year 6 were privileged to join the Big Walk event as part of the Batley and Birstall 'More in Common' celebrations. Children from across our area celebrated their similarities and differences by coming together at the Batley Bulldogs stadium for a day of fun filled celebrations. Watch the video and see who you can recognise.
