Welcome to Year 3/4!

Autumn Overview

This term our topic is Amazing Ancient Egypt. We will be using atlases and the internet to locate Egypt. Using a range of sources of evidence will we develop our knowledge and iunderstanding of the River Nile and how this was significant to life in Ancient Egypt. As hstorians we will also using an enquiry approach to find out about a famous archaeologist who made a very important discovery!

In English we will be building on what we have learnt before and further develop the grammar, vocabulary and the structure of our writing. Over the term we will have range of reasons to write for different audiences and purposes.

Thank you all pupils and parents who continue to bring home learning projects about the Ancient Egyptians. This is fabulous and we are loving sharing our wonderful creations with each other!

Keep up this great independent learning!

We love maths too and we will be developing our mathematical skills in counting, place value and the four calculations of addition, subtraction.
