In Topic, we are designing and making 2-D and 3-D Dragons.

We talked about the different features of a dragon and have been using our sketchbooks to draw our own dragon designs . 

We used clay to begin to make our 2-D dragon designs. We used the different clay tools to add detail to our dragon designs.



In Maths, we have been learning our multiplication facts. We have used arrays to show different number facts.

We have also been using a numberline to jump on in steps. 

We have challenged ourselves to begin to use the multiplication grid method to multiply larger numbers.

We are working hard to learn our 3 and 4 times tables and we enjoy playing a fun game called Times Table Tennis.


In English, we have been reading fantasy stories about Dragons. We wrote our own dragon character descriptions using adjectives, adverbs, prepositional phrases and similes.

At Storytime  we have enjoyed listening to the story of 'How To Train Your Dragon' and have used some of the authors ideas and language in our own story writing.
