Curriculum Overview

We have been very busy in Maths! We are learning to use the language more than, greater than, less than and equals. We are working hard to form our numbers correctly and even write numbers as words up to 20! Lots of us know our number bonds to 10 and we are working on remembering our number bonds to 20. We do lots of counting every single day and are beginning to count backwards from any number up to 100!

In Literacy we have been learning a text map and practising it through Talk 4 Writing. First we learnt a newspaper report, we then changed the report to make it our work independently!

This half term, we are learning The Three Little Pigs. We have also learnt that a verb is to do something and we are using adjectives in our writing to describe. We are all trying very hard with our letter formation and structure of our sentences.

This half term, we are learning all about where animals live - in particular animals that live in the Artic and hot deserts. We are helping Sandy the meerkat to decide where the best place is to live. So far, we have learnt about the Kalahari desert and the Arctic. We know about lots of animals that live there and have painted and made collages of the Artic.
